Parent Partners And Community

Working in partnership with parents is paramount to children's learning and development.  We are a community focused school and ensure we have a variety of ways that our children can be involved with the world around them.  Engagement is collaborative and illustrative of our values - we are members of United Nations Global Compact, Dubai SME, Dubai Chamber Sustainability Network, NAEYC, NDNA, Harvard Principals Club and active in educational organizations and green and sustainable groups to ensure that we are always building and learning through global best practice.

We have been honored with many awards and accreditations including the National Day Nursery Association (NDNA) 2016 accreditation; CACHE license, Dubai Chamber CSR Label, Arabia CSR Award 2014 &  2015; EEG Waste Management Award  & Arabian Child Awards as Best Nursery.

Blossom prides itself on the collaborative approach between a parent and a setting on the child's learning and development.  We recognize at Blossom how busy parents are and it may not be possible to engage in a daily conversation with your child's teacher but at Blossom, there are tools to support a regular two-way flow of communication such as baby diaries, bi-weekly newsletters, emails, Google Classroom and parent notice boards. Parent Teacher Conferences take place twice a year and provide opportunities for teachers to share observations, assessments and evidence with parents as well as listen and respond to any thoughts or questions families may have on the learning journey. Evidence-based work through the Blossom Smartbook is sent home weekly and this beautiful scrapbook memento will be yours to keep when your child leaves the nursery.  It is a wonderful keepsake but also an important chronicle of the work that has been done.

At Blossom, we have a Parent Liaison Group (PLG) that serves as a means for communication between parents and the Centre Director in order to work in partnership seeking the support and input of parents and families. Our PLG encourages good communication and ways in which our service to parents and children can be enhanced. Members of the partnership group also act as a support to other parents who would benefit from their reassurance when their child starts at the nursery.

Parent Workshops/ Coffee Mornings - We understand the importance of parents being fully involved in their children’s daily activities, progress and development in their Nursery environment. However, the learning does not stop at the doors of our Nursery; we ensure that the parents too are well equipped to contribute the most to their child’s development outside of nursery. Keeping this in mind we organise regular workshops for parents enrichment on various topics ranging from Healthy Food: Beyond Nutrition for Babies, Importance of Sensory Play to Learning Languages at EY, Letterland Phonics, Biting & Toilet training and more.

The nursery also holds social gatherings and events throughout the year which are also good ways to build a strong and happy relationship between the parents and the nursery.

Blossom Nurseries are active participants in the community by joining various events targeting  families and children. Blossom has conducted Health & Wellness Day, Sports Day, International Days, Book Fairs, Market Day, Winter Fair events, a Make Your Dreams Come true Campaign, Buckle Up Car Safety Campaign and many others with the help of children, parents and staff team.

When a family begins the learning journey at Blossom they soon learn that we work on developing roots and wings for children - we ensure the exposure to big events and ideas is there and allow them to find what drives their curiosity and passion ensuring they get to fly in the process!
