The Babilou name is renowned worldwide for its expertise in early childhood education.
Babilou originally opened its first branch in France in 2003 before expanding globally to 6 European countries. The first Babilou opened in Dubai in 2014, its professional reputation soon spread and it became a sought after nursery.
Since the opening of the first UAE branch 8 years ago, our Babilou Family now consists of a network of 23 branches that operate under the new name of ‘Blossom Nursery.’ The majority of the branches are in Dubai, with a few in Al Ain and many successfully opening in the capital city of Abu Dhabi too where demand continues to rise. Our highly qualified educators provide top quality education and the highest health and safety standards. Not only do they strive to support the children’s growth but they also ensure parents feel at ease when their child is in the care of the Blossom team. Recruitment is focused on looking for qualified and experienced staff who have a clear passion for caring for babies and young children. Teachers must be creative and modern in their methods and not only provide the children with educational offerings but with lifelong skills that will equip them for their future endeavors.
Our Blossom nurseries can be found in a variety of locations from business centers to villa communities in the newly developed and also in the older areas in the UAE. Our facilities vary from being based out of cosy villas to purpose built buildings, neither the less they provide consistent and professional childcare solutions to support working parents.
All our Blossom nurseries follow the EYFS British curriculum. The EYFS sets the standard for learning and has clear outcomes still respecting that each child is unique and learns at their own pace. Blossom interprets other approaches too such as Reggio Emilia and Emmy Pickler. By doing this it allows the educators to take the most successful methods from a variety of curriculums to provide an all round high quality educational experience.
In each of our Blossom nurseries, we promote child led learning by taking into account the children’s interests. The educator then interprets the interests of the children into activities, experiments, opportunities and art while ensuring her planning enables them to meet the milestones set by the EYFS. At Blossom we understand research is always being updated so we strive to continuously improve and change to keep up to date with modern practices and the latest research in early childhood education. We are above all dedicated to sustainability as we understand this is an integral part of quality education. The materials in the settings are natural materials inspired by the Maria Montessori approach and educators are urged to use recycling within the classroom to support their activities; this not only inspires them to be creative but to consistently support sustainability too.
The Emmi Pikler approach is put into practice in the baby room with experts understanding that babies need to feel cared for and happy in order for them to learn. Our Team in the baby room understands they must talk calmly to the children during diaper changing and feeding time in order to encourage the babies to develop eye contact.
Reggio Emilia is interpreted by supporting the concept of kids following their own interests and learning about what they as individuals love. Reggio also encourages parents, children and teachers to build strong relationships and work together to help a child to develop. Documentation is key for the educator to see a child’s learning so they take photos and videos of their observations and regularly share these with the parents in order to keep them updated. Like a Reggio setting the children at Blossom Nursery will finish the year with a Portfolio consisting of photos and observations that unravel their progression that has been documented by the teacher throughout the year.
Our experts install children with a love of learning and that is something that will stay with them forever.
‘The education of even a small child, therefore, does not aim at preparing them for school, but for life.’ - Maria Montessori
