nursery jobs in Dubai

Dubai is a bustling city in the UAE with a thriving early years education sector. As a result, there are many teacher jobs in Dubai for those interested in pursuing a career in this field, both in dedicated nursery schools and in international schools that also offer primary education. In this article, we will explore some of the key aspects of nursery jobs in Dubai, including what qualifications are required, what experience is needed, what types of roles are available, the benefits and what the job market is like.

Qualifications and Experience Required

To work in a nursery in Dubai, some several qualifications and certifications are typically required. These can include a bachelor's degree in early childhood education or other education-related field, or a CACHE (Council for Awards in Care, Health and Education) qualification. Some nurseries may also require a minimum number of years of teaching or childcare experience, particularly for more senior positions.

In addition to dedicated Early Years teachers, nurseries in Dubai also value primary school teachers or teachers with a primary education background who have experience working with children and a passion for early years education. Strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents, and a commitment to providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children are also important qualities for anyone looking to work in a nursery in Dubai.

Types of Nursery Jobs Available

There are a variety of nursery jobs available in Dubai, ranging from classroom teachers to administrative and support staff. Some of the most common roles include:

  • Nursery Teachers: These are the lead educators in the classroom, responsible for planning and delivering lessons, assessing children's progress, and providing a safe and supportive learning environment. Nursery teachers may work with children aged between 2 months and 5 years, depending on the nursery's age range.
  • Teaching Assistants: Teaching assistants work alongside nursery teachers to support children's learning and development. They may help to plan activities, provide one-on-one support to individual children, and assist with administrative tasks.
  • Senior Management: These are the staff who manage and run the nursery school and can include Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, Head Teacher, Head of EYFS and Department Head.
  • Administrative Staff: Administrative staff are responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the nursery, including handling enquiries from parents, managing the nursery's finances, and coordinating staff schedules.
  • Support Staff: Support staff may include cooks, cleaners, and maintenance staff, who help to ensure that the nursery is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
