In the formative years of a child’s life, curiosity is boundless. Early childhood is a time when children are naturally inclined to ask questions, explore their surroundings, and engage in hands-on activities. Introducing science and innovation labs in nursery settings capitalizes on this innate curiosity and lays the foundation for critical thinking, creativity, and lifelong learning.

How Our FS1 Class Approaches Science:

In our FS1 class at Blossom Al Barsha 3, science is embraced with boundless enthusiasm. The children’s faces light up during activities like adding vinegar to sand and watching as it reacts to create bubbles. These moments of discovery not only excite them but also spark endless questions and discussions. Exploring sand under magnifying glasses has also become a favourite activity, turning the ordinary into a fascinating adventure.

One memorable experiment involved mixing baking soda and vinegar to observe a fizzy reaction. The children were thrilled to predict what might happen and eagerly watched the bubbles form. These hands-on activities allow children to explore cause-and-effect relationships and engage their senses in a meaningful way.

Through these experiences, we see children building resilience—like when they try different methods to balance objects or create structures—and learning that making mistakes is part of discovering something new. This growth mindset is at the heart of our approach, ensuring that each child feels supported and inspired to explore the wonders of science.

Key Benefits of Science and Innovation Labs in Early Years:

Senior Educator in Blossom Al Barsha 3

I am your child’s Senior Educator in the Innovators A Class in Blossom Al Barsha 3. I’ve been living in Dubai for the past 10 years, and I love to explore this beautiful country.

I hold a BSc in Biomedical Sciences and a CACHE Level 3 qualification in Childhood Studies. Before joining Blossom Nursery, I spent 7 years working in a school, and I also have experience working in the UK.

The most rewarding part of my job is witnessing children thrive in their independent learning and experiencing those ‘Eureka’ moments—when they express pure joy and excitement in their achievements. I am deeply passionate about creating engaging activities that motivate children to develop a lifelong love of learning. I take pride in getting to know each child individually and tailoring the curriculum to meet their unique needs.
